1. What a gift card is

A gift card is a voucher of a stated value with a unique code, bought in this shop and redeemable against any product and against delivery. It is a multi purpose voucher: VAT is charged on the goods bought when it is redeemed; you receive a payment receipt for buying the card and an invoice on redemption.

2. Buying and delivery

You order the card in the value of your choice, with the recipient's name and email address and a personal message. The code is emailed to the recipient without delay once the full price has arrived. Another gift card or loyalty points cannot be used to buy a gift card.

3. Validity

A gift card is valid for 24 months from issue; the expiry date is on the card and in the accompanying email and is never shorter than 12 months. The balance of an expired card can neither be redeemed nor refunded; please note the expiry date from the email.

4. Redemption

Enter the code at the checkout; the balance can be used across several orders, in parts, and the unused part stays on the card. If the order is worth more than the balance, the difference can be paid by any payment method. A gift card cannot be exchanged for cash, earns no interest, and an unused balance is not refunded except on withdrawal under section 5.

5. Withdrawal and refunds

The buyer may withdraw from the purchase of a gift card within 14 days of the delivery of its code as long as it has not been redeemed; the code is then cancelled and the price refunded by the original means of payment. A redeemed card cannot be withdrawn from. If you send back goods paid for with a gift card, or the order is cancelled, the part paid with the card is credited back to the card, which stays usable with the credited balance within its original validity.

6. Lost codes, abuse

Whoever holds the code can redeem it, so please keep it confidential. Customer service replaces a lost code once the buyer has been identified, as long as the card has not been redeemed. Where fraud is suspected we may suspend the card for the duration of the examination, and we tell the buyer.

7. Data protection and disputes

The recipient's details are used only to deliver the gift card; the privacy notice has the detail. The general terms apply to gift cards; the complaints notice covers complaints and the arbitration board.
